Tekken 7 PC – 4K Screenshots & Gameplay @ Max Settings-October 2024
Oct 17, 2024 11:23 PM

We've been able to test Tekken 7 on the PC earlier this evening and we've grabbed a few 4K screenshots as well as some gameplay footage at max settings. The PC used an i7 6700K CPU and a Palit GTX 1080 Super JetStream graphics card, with the latest 382.33 Game Ready driver optimized for the game.

Upon launching the game, NVIDIA's logo appears, suggesting that the game may be more optimized for NVIDIA hardware. After all, the official system requirements for Tekken 7 PC only listed NVIDIA GPUs.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, the game looks great overall, despite the fact that some aliasing stays visible even with anti-aliasing set on Ultra and a display with 163 PPI. Some stages are way more impressive than others due to the art and graphics effects involved. A few of them are also much more taxing on your hardware - the Arena stage, in particular, boasts dozens of NPCs in the background, which brings down the frame rate.

To make sure frame rate stays at 60FPS (the maximum frame rate available in Tekken 7 PC), the developers have added a Dynamic Adjustment setting which will occasionally drop quality during the busiest instances. We didn't use this for our test, but if you want to play competitively without sacrificing quality and you don't have a GTX 1080 Ti or Titan graphics card, it's probably a good idea to enable the setting. Still, most of the stages only showcase the two fighters with a background scenery and thus our GTX 1080 didn't have many problems providing smooth gameplay.

When it comes to supported resolutions we have 16:10 and 4:3 available alongside the standard 16:9, though selecting 16:10 or 4:3 resolutions will add black bars. Ultrawide support isn't available, so 21:9 display owners are out of luck, at least for the time being.

As mentioned earlier, there's support for keyboard and both XInput/DirectInput controllers. You may also remap buttons however you like.

Tekken 7 PC is set for release tomorrow, June 2nd. You can already pre-order and pre-load the game via Steam to get ready; the Standard Edition is priced at $/€ 49.99 while the Deluxe Edition costs $/€ 79.99. The latter version of the game includes two additional characters, lots of exclusive costumes and even a unique game mode. Pre-ordering either version, on the other hand, will give you access to the vampire Eliza.

We'll have a full review of the game soon, so stay tuned.
