In light of recent and ongoing protests for racial justice and police reform, Blizzard has pushed back its planned reveal event for the next World of Warcraft expansion, Shadowlands. The event, which had been planned for June 9, has been rescheduled with a date to be announced.
The event itself will likely still be hosted by executive producer John Hight and game director Ion Hazzikostas, and it will cover the first details on what will be coming in the new expansion. We already know that Shadowlands will take players to the world of the dead, and looks likely to make some major story shifts after Battle of Azeroth. It will also reduce the level cap to 60, in contrast to most expansions which have raised the level cap.

Now Playing: World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands - Cinematic Announcement Trailer
Blizzard would usually make many of its biggest announcements at BlizzCon, but that event has been canceled due to coronavirus. Blizzard is said to be looking into hosting a digital event in 2021 instead. Several other planned announcements and reveal events have also been postponed, and publishers have offered statements of solidarity and donations to the protests.
