There's no shortage of tower defense games on mobile devices, but have you ever imagined what it would be like to be the aggressor and not the tower defender? Imagine no more! Chillingo's not-so-distant-future-set strategy game puts you in the role of human forces battling aliens that have carefully placed towers and other such weapons along your route. In the tactical view, you can set the course for your units, purchase additional vehicles, or even upgrade the ones you have. Naturally, all of this costs money, but you can earn some of that sweet scratch during the course of a mission. Anomaly's slick interface and easy-to-understand concept make it pretty addictive right from the get-go. Buy Game

Did you like Zelda? Did you like Chrono Trigger? Exitium is kind of like those games, at least in terms of its visual style and action, but it differs a little bit in structure. This action role-playing game uses a World of Warcraft-style quest system, which means a couple of things: You never have a shortage of things to do in Exitium--someone will always be saying "go there and do this"--but you will have to undertake some mundane tasks from time to time. Additionally, the default animation speed makes the game's lead character move a little too fast, so we recommend dialing it down a few notches in the options screen. But even with that little fix, it may take some time to get used to the controls, particularly during battle.

  First, watch this:

Baby Monkey is the game version of that fine film with the same catchy song. You have to carefully time jumps for the monkey to reach bananas and avoid obstacles while the pig barrels its way through the randomly generated scenery (but you have to occasionally make the pig jump too). There isn't much to Baby Monkey, but its charm and simple gameplay is hard to resist. Fair warning: Getting that song out of your head is nearly impossible.

We've all had dreams of building and owning a shopping mall. In fact, just last week, someone in the GameSpot office had a dream of a mall that had four florists, eight bakeries, and a nearly endless row of vending machines. As it turns out, that person (OK, it was me) now has a chance to make his dream a little more real with Mega Mall Story, a mall management sim from the makers of Game Dev Story. You start off with a respectable mall that has few little shops and an opportunity for some modest expansion to help draw in more customers. As your mall gains more shops and its reputation grows, you make even more money and open additional financial opportunities, like investing into the surrounding areas. Like Game Dev Story, Mega Mall is easy to play and completely addictive.

Hey guys, remember Wesley Snipes? You know, Blade? Well, he's back as special agent Julius Styles in an iOS adventure game called…wait for it…Julius Styles: The International. If you've been playing games for a while, the isometric perspective and gameplay will instantly remind you of PC adventure games from years back as Julius maneuvers his way through environments, picking up items and using these same items to solve various puzzles that are in his way. Still, despite the big movie star name (and voice) behind the game, it's often difficult to determine what objects you can and cannot interact with and the presentation is surprisingly barren. Sometimes, it's even difficult to tell where exactly you're supposed to go in a particular area even when Julius spells it out for you. Adventure fanatics might dig it, but it gets off to a slow start.
