During this Worlds 2014 Riot has started releasing some more data for each match with their extended breakdowns. This is great news and will allow us to break down some new and interesting things. The first article we are doing is a quick break down of each team in Groups A and B using some of the new data we acquired, including each team's champions, gold distribution, damage to champions, and ward distribution.
Some disclaimers first, these breakdowns are only based on a small group of games (6-7), so they lend more "extreme" results (see AHQ gold distribution!). Secondly, champion picks greatly influence things like damage to champions or ward distribution. Kha'Zix averages 75% more Damage to Champions than the average Lee Sin, meanwhile Lee Sin averages 140% more wards placed than Kha'Zix. This is why we put the champions side by side these graphs so you can make your own educated opinions!
Last disclaimer, for more information on the "gold distribution relative to role" graphs check out the previous edition here.
Feel free to let me know if there are any other things you are interested in seeing in our Worlds coverage with this extended data.
Special thanks to Cuzimafish who alerted us of this data and helped us organize it, as well as Tinyshrimp who made all this possible!
