The bundle has remained in the top sellers category on the Dota 2 store since it was introduced in last week's patch. Earlier this month Valve introduced a new feature to the Dota 2 client which allowed for third party tournaments to use their in game Dota TV ticket to fund their prize pool and display this information directly on the in game tournament tab.

The first tournament to make use of this new system was MLG Columbus who in conjunction with their bundle featuring a number of new items were able to boost their prize pool to approximately $135,000 after starting at a base prize pool of $50,000.

The Star Ladder Season 8 tournament is the second tournament to make use of this new system and with the help of their new Dota TV ticket bundle that comes with an upgradable set for Weaver along with a Battle Booster have been able to double their prize pool to $100,000 in just over a week of the bundle going on sale in the Dota 2 store.

The LAN finals for Star Ladder Season 8 are not due to be played until the 17th to the 19th of January at the start of next year which means there is still plenty of time for the prize pool to continue rising.

The 8th season of the legendary SLTV StarSeries will feature best 18 teams from Europe. They will compete for growing prize pool starting at $50,000.

$2.50 of every purchase will go to the SLTV StarSeries prize pool. Round-robin online tournament and LAN finals in Kyiv Cybersport Arena.

The new set for Weaver upgrades depending on how many games you have watched from this season of Star Ladder. The breakdown for the prize pool has also been released with first place guaranteeing a minimum of $50,000 which will continue to rise as the prize pool increases.
