Fnatic, anxiously watched by their manager and Counter-Strike legend Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon, would best Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) in the SteelSeries Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Championship at DreamHack Winter. Fnatic would take home $100,000, their portion of the $250,000 prize pool, in the biggest Counter-Strike tournament of all time.

Fnatic would win two to one. Their win on Dust, the first map, would shake up the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive social media world as the comeback Fnatic made was truly the stuff of legends. NiP would then go on to take a fairly convincing, by the book, win on Inferno. On Train, a map that is usually regarded as NiP's best map, the exact opposite would happen. A surgical and methodical Fnatic would go on to win the series and the event.
Map Name | Ninjas in Pyjamas | Fnatic |
---|---|---|
Dust 2 | 14 | 16 |
Inferno | 16 | 6 |
Train | 2 | 16 |
