Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Opening Clip Debuts, Watch It Here-November 2024
Nov 19, 2024 7:35 AM

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is an upcoming animated series on Netflix, following Leon and Claire from the video game series. During Geeked Week, we got to see the opening clip for the movie, which lands on the streaming service on July 8.

The new video makes this show feel relatively normal, as a group of militants ascend to a worn-torn city from a helicopter, in hopes of saving others. Check out the video for yourself below.

RE: Infinite Darkness takes place two years after Resident Evil 4. The series follows Leon Kennedy (Nick Apostolides) and Claire Redfield (Stephanie Panisello) as the duo take on a zombie infestation in The White House. Leon is working for the Secret Service, and Claire continues her fight against the Umbrella corporation.

The show was first revealed during the Resident Evil Showcase back in April. This isn't the only RE movie coming in the near future. There's also Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which will hit theaters November 24, 2021. The film will follow a group of people uncovering a mystery in the titular city, after the Umbrella Cooperation had fled town.

There have been plenty of big announcements during Netflix's Geeked Week. Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe: Revelation got its first action-packed trailer. Stranger Things got a larger showcase on Wednesday, announcing new cast members for Season 4 and a limited-series podcast hosted by Hawkins' own Robin, which arrived on June 29. Finally, R.L. Stine's Fear Street trilogy got a very long trailer as well.
