Three Sega executives whom the company considers to have been instrumental during the Dreamcast launch last year have been promoted to higher ranks within the organization. Shinobu Toyoda, formerly executive vice president of Sega of America, is now the executive vice president of content strategy. Chris Gilbert, formerly a member of Sega's sales, consulting, and marketing team is now overseeing Sega's daily sales distribution, sales servicing, merchandising, and other strategic and marketing efforts for the Dreamcast. Neal Robinson will now oversee the third-party developers, publishers, and peripheral companies, focusing on licensing and bringing titles to the console.
New Sega President and COO Peter Moore told Gamespot news that "Shinobu, Chris, and Neal have a proven track record for success. Their leadership and vision will be critical as we move into a very exciting year."
