Before the release of the Resident Evil 7 PC demo, Capcom made it clear that they were going to remove files and references to yet to be revealed details so to keep spoilers to a minimum. This isn't the first time the Japanese company didn't exactly keep its word, but in this case, it's not a big issue, as we have now managed to learn plenty of interesting new things regarding the soon to release survival horror game.
Some dedicated Resident Evil 7 fans have been taking a very good look at the PC demo's files, uncovering plenty of very interesting details. The first new discovery seems to be some sort of eyesight mechanic, as the demo's Hex mentions eye drops and glasses.

The Resident Evil 7 demo also included details on upcoming DLC content. The four short stories DLC seems to be a collection of mini-games.
DLC 1-1: A puzzle-focused gameplay chapter where it seems you answer riddles and other types of puzzles. Almost seems entirely puzzle focused.
DLC 1-2: A card game? Apparently some card game you can play either in a story mode way or an endless mode with some type of reward you get. Specifics not clear, but includes mechanics like bluff, and some sort of in-game droppable based on your performance.
DLC 1-3: Wave-Based Survival Mode. seems to have multiple stages, and 10 waves for each map.
DLC 1-4: A proper miniature story chapter with you in a place with Lucas it seems. Also seems to have three endings based on something you do in this chapter.
Many other details have also been discovered, such as all included weapons and even story events. You can check everything out by going here, but be warned that there are plenty of unmarked spoilers in the thread.
Resident Evil 7 launches next month on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
