Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, the second entry in the open world series developed by Monolith, is fast approaching its release date, and the team has been showing more of the game lately.
In a fresh livestream, some members of the team showcased some of the new gameplay features that players will be able to enjoy starting next month such as Spy Infiltration, Orc Pitfights and many others.
Last week, more Middle-Earth: Shadow of War gameplay footage emerged online, showcasing a boss fight against the Nazgul called Helm Hammerhand. One of the most frequent complaints of Shadow of Mordor was regarding boss fights, and it seems like Monolith heard the fans and tried to make these battles more interesting than before.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is setting out to be much bigger than the original Shadow of Mordor in a lot of ways. The team expanded pretty much every feature, from the story to the role-playing game systems, to offer an experience that will be more engaging than ever.
Following the amazing reception to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, we massively expanded every dimension of the game, including the world, the story, the RPG systems, the core gameplay and of course the personal player stories of the Nemesis System. As lifelong fans of Middle-earth, we are so grateful to have the privilege to bring to life the most incredible fantasy world ever created in a new way, for a new generation. With Middle-earth: Shadow of War, we can’t wait to see the amazing stories players are going to create and share.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the Monolith developed open world game.
