Children's game developer NewKidCo has signed a multiyear deal with Children's Television Workshop (CTW) to develop and distribute children's products on console video game systems utilizing the Sesame Street license, including Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color platforms.
Among other things, the games will feature Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Elmo, Grover, and other muppets from Sesame Street.
"We are extremely pleased to extend our relationship with the Children's Television Workshop, and to continue bringing the widely recognized and trusted Sesame Street property to console game systems," said Hank Kaplan, president of NewKidCo. "Through this deal, we can offer kids exciting new ways to interact with the Sesame Street characters that have been enchanting children worldwide for 30 years."
