Activision has announced that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 for the Sony PlayStation has shipped 1 million units since it launched on September 20. It marks one of the largest console game releases for the company.
"We're extremely pleased with the sales of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and the strong response from both consumers and retailers," said Ron Doornink, CEO of Activision. "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater established itself as the dominant brand in the action sports category and the undisputed choice for gamers worldwide."
The original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater has sold over 3 million copies.
