French publisher Kalisto Entertainment and Fox Kids Europe have entered into an exclusive five-year agreement to develop new interactive entertainment properties for next-generation game consoles, the PC, the Internet, interactive television, and mobile phones. The newly created properties will be geared toward the 6- to 12-year-old market. The two companies have already established plans to produce 12 interactive games and three television series.

　　"The agreement between Fox Kids Europe and Kalisto Entertainment represents an exciting joint enterprise," said Ynon Kreiz, chairman and CEO of Fox Kids Europe. "Each party will enhance the agreement by contributing its area of expertise. Kalisto will provide resources for the development, publishing, marketing, and distribution of all game products, and Fox Kids Europe will provide experience in TV production, distribution, and merchandising. Together we aim to build a leading worldwide kids and family on- and offline gaming franchise and to maximize all commercial opportunities."

　　Kalisto can also draw on Fox Kids' licensed properties such as Power Rangers, Spider-Man, The Addams Family, Casper, and more than 200 others.
