This week has been relatively quiet on the downloadable game front, with only Xbox Live Arcade and WiiWare seeing any brand-new titles on their respective virtual store shelves.
Peggle's been doing the rounds on various popular casual platforms for a while now and has finally made its way to Xbox Live Arcade. The objective of Peggle is fairly simple; you bounce a ball around a small area/arena trying to hit a number of spaced pegs to score points. The more pegs you hit in a single shot, the more points you get. The other game to come out on XBLA this week is Crystal Defenders, a simple tower defense title that sees characters from Final Fantasy Tactics A2 act as towers to defend against an onslaught of enemies. Both games are out now for 800 Microsoft Points.
Sadly there are no brand new games out this week on the PlayStation Network, but two PlayStation Games, Street Skater 2 and Hi-Octane, have both been re-released to play on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. Hi-Octane originally came out in 1995 and was known for featuring wide tracks and a fast sense of speed. In a similar vein, Street Skater 2 is a street-racing game that has you battling against the clock to complete various courses while earning points from tricks. Both Hi-Octance and Skate 2 came out overnight for A$8.45 ($5.14).
Criterion continues to roll out regular DLC for Burnout Paradise owners, as do Media Molocule with Little Big Planet. For a full list of this week's DLC on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 DLC, check out the list below:
