Just days after it launched, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players have discovered a new glitch in the game that allows them to generate infinite resources. It's relatively easy to pull off, doesn't require you to have progressed too far into the game, and once mastered, it can fill Link's inventory up within minutes. You can probably expect Nintendo to patch this exploit very soon as it essentially upends the delicate economy of Tears of the Kingdom, but if you have a quick trigger finger, here's how it works.
For game progress, you'll want to have unlocked the Fuse ability, have at least two bows, and the item that you want to duplicate. Oh, and very quick fingers.
Equip your bow by quickly pressing the ZR trigger.Press up on your D-pad to bring up your inventory of materials.Select the material that you want to duplicate and fuse it to your arrow.Press the Start--or Plus--button to bring up your inventory.Drop the equipped bow (it's highlighted in blue).Equip a new bow.Now press the Start button twice as quickly as possible.Drop your currently equipped bow.Close your inventory screen.Pick up both of your dropped bows.easy duplication glitch: fuse item to arrow, pause, drop bow, equip another, then press pause twice very quickly, drop bow, unpause and pick up both bows. profit #duplication #duplicationglitch #TearsOfTheKingdom #Zelda #NintendoSwitch pic.twitter.com/OTOJnntKID

And that's it! With any luck, if you were quick enough, you just glitched in a duplicate of the item that you wanted to have more of. The nice thing about this glitch is that you won't have to worry about losing any of your items, as you can simply reclaim them and try again if you fail.
This exploit comes in especially useful when you fuse rare gems to your arrows, as you can sell those for a premium to merchants in Hyrule, giving you all the Rupees you'll need to acquire the gear that you want. You can also get extra materials for increasing the power of your weapons, ingredients to craft handy elixirs, and other rare items for when you start building machines. You can never have too much Zonai hardware, after all.
Of course, there are more legitimate means to earn Rupees and materials, but if you feel like taking a shortcut in Hyrule's dangerous sandbox, the choice is up to you. For more tips and tricks that don't require breaking the game, you can check out our Tears of the Kingdom guides hub.
