Some movies refuse to die, even if they've actually never been seen by the general public--or, more realistically, may not actually exist at all. Zack Snyder's infamous Snydercut of Justice League has entrenched itself so deeply in the pop culture zeitgeist that the director can no longer do anything even remotely related to the DC cinematic universe without the ghost of the 2017 box office bomb coming back to haunt him. Yesterday, Snyder announced on Twitter that he would be hosting a watch party for Man of Steel on Wednesday, May 20 at 8 PM Pacific time on Vero, the social media platform only he uses.

　　For those keeping score in the Snydercut saga, late last year Snyder took to Vero once again to confirm the cut's existence with a photo. Later, Justice League actors like Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck took to their own social media accounts to post in support of the cut's eventual release. Now, some fans have convinced themselves this could all potentially be leading up to an eventual Snydercut drop on the upcoming HBO Max streaming platform, which is due out on May 27.

　　HBO Max will already boast a massive library of DC related content, including every Batman film as well as new and old seasons of DC Universe original shows like Doom Patrol. If the Snydercut were ever going to see the light of day, it certainly seems like the most likely candidate--though there's absolutely no way to be sure given just how mysterious everything about the movie has been for the last 3 years.

　　Still, we can expect Snyder himself to be bombarded with Snydercut questions during his Man of Steel watch party tomorrow. Whether he'll actually answer them or not, however, remains to be seen.
