This fall, Lunchables will be putting the "wahoo" into back to school with Nintendo-themed packaging. From September 1 through December 31, select Lunchables packages will feature Nintendo characters from across various franchises, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, and Pokemon Sword and Shield.
These packages will also feature special codes that can be redeemed online for a chance to win your very own Nintendo Switch prize pack. The bundle includes a Switch system and your choice of two download codes from a selection including Splatoon 2, Link's Awakening, and other Switch exclusives. 750 of these bundles are available to win, but if you aren't one of the lucky few, you may still get 100 My Nintendo Platinum points (don't forget you'll need a Nintendo account to redeem these).
"By continuing our partnership with LUNCHABLES, we’re hoping to bring the joy of Nintendo characters to even more families across the U.S.," said Nintendo of America's senior vice president of sales and marketing Nick Chavez. He went on to mention the partnership's exciting potential to help Lunchables continue their tradition of bringing fun to the table.
"We’re excited to partner with Nintendo again to bring more mixed up fun to every mealtime," said Katie Hunstad, Associate Director of Marketing at Kraft Heinz. "This year, we’re adding new ways to get in on the LUNCHABLES Gaming Together Giveaway, using recognizable Nintendo characters to give fans even more lunchtime fun."
Keep an eye out next week for these new boxes to hop onto shelves, and for the upcoming games announced during the Direct Mini like Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2.
