With the launch of the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles coming up very soon, Microsoft has now announced a list of titles launching with the consoles that are optimized for the next-generation systems.
The list includes first-party titles such as Gears 5, Gears Tactics, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and Forza Horizon 4, all of which are included with Xbox Game Pass and support Smart Delivery. The third-party lineup includes Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion, as well as the racing game Dirt 5, the professional basketball game NBA 2K21, and the loot-shooter Borderlands 3.
You can see a full list below, as compiled by Microsoft. The list also mentions which titles are on Game Pass and which support Smart Delivery, which is a program that lets you get the Xbox Series X/S edition of the game at no extra cost.
These optimized launch titles are in addition to the thousands of games that will be playable on the consoles from day one through backwards compatibility. As announced previously, the Xbox Series X/S consoles play titles from the OG Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and in some cases, they enjoy benefits like upscaling, additional performance, and auto HDR. Destiny 2 will be optimized for the systems on December 8.
