Retailer Amazon has put up a Project Scorpio subpage on its website, and the official Crackdown Twitter account has announced that news on the game is inbound.
Over the past week several Scorpio rumors have surfaced claiming that Microsoft’s enhanced Xbox console might be showcased tomorrow by Red Dead Redemption 2, Forza 7 and the new Star Wars Battlefront. In addition, it has been rumored that the reveal will have some positive surprises, although no price tag is said to be announced.
Whether Project Scorpio will indeed be showcased tomorrow, remains to be seen, but it seems that retailer Amazon has already anticipated for a possible reveal by creating a Project Scorpio subpage on its website. While the site doesn’t reveal new information, it reconfirms the console’s global specifications and release period this year – holiday 2017.
Aside from possible Project Scorpio news this week, the official Crackdown 3 Twitter account has announced that new info on the game will follow soon. “2017 is shaping up to be great!”, the tweet reads. “#Crackdown3 info is on the horizon, and we're ready to bring the boom!”
A new Crackdown was announced for Xbox One during Microsoft’s E3 2014 presser, but it wasn’t until E3 2015 until Microsoft officially unveiled the game as Crackdown 3. During the event, Microsoft showcased the game’s cloud-powered real time destruction, and series creator David Jones stated that Microsoft's Azure cloud computing technology will provide 20x more power than playing the game on a single Xbox One console.
Crackdown 3 is slated for a release later this year.
