Xbox 360 Guitar Hero III achievements revealed (hoax?)
Xbox 360 Guitar Hero III achievements revealed (hoax?)-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 10:23 PM

Xbox360Achievements has just added what they're claiming is a list of the 59 unlockable achievements in the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero III. The figure also includes three as yet unconfirmed "secret achievements", none of which have any points associated yet. Judging from the achievements already listed, if they're secret, they're sure to be nigh on impossible.

While we've had no official confirmation of how many goals the game will feature in the final release, if this list is any indication, prepare to grind your fingers to the bone working for them. As you may have seen in our 9000 achievement points in 48 hours feature, there are a few games known for giving away easy points. If this list turns out to be even close to accurate, Guitar Hero III will definitely not be one of these titles. That said, while the Guitar Hero series does manage to pull some of the casual player crowd, YouTube is testament to the fact that it has more than its fair share of hardcore gamers playing.

We're going to take the list of achievements with a pinch of salt for the moment, but here's a couple of our favourites, even if they aren't real:

Enlightened Guitarist -- Gold Star 20 songs on Expert.

For the uninitiated, a gold star is awarded for completing a song with 100 percent accuracy. Do it 19 more times for this badge.

100 Million?! Gulp?! -- Earn 100,000,000 points total in Career.

Start practising now, that's a lot of Knights of Cydonia!

Hendrix Reborn -- Complete Career Lefty and Righty.

This one might not be as crazy as it sounds with plenty of practice. Of course, all the practice in the world won't make Expert mode guitar solos a cakewalk.

Button Masher --Win 15 consecutive Ranked songs online using a standard controller.

Why you would do that when you have a perfectly good wireless guitar to play on is beyond us. Besides, even if you do manage to do this one--and you probably could in cahoots with a friend over Xbox LIVE--it's apparently worth a measly 5 achievement points.
