Reuters today made headlines of its own when it published a story on the Xbox 360 making its way to the Chinese market. Basing its story on a source that refused to be identified, the article generated nearly a hundred secondary news stories. The source told Reuters that Microsoft "definitely hopes" to launch its Xbox 360 in China "as soon as it can." The source claims Microsoft has been "talking to a wide range of potential sales agents, getting feedback from game testers and experimental users, and doing everything they can with the sole aim of launching Xbox in China as soon as possible." The Chinese market is notoriously tough to crack--for game publishers as well as hardware makers. Snow-bound staffers at Microsoft had no comment on the unattributed story at press time.
