Strategy First has announced that World War II Online Mac Edition has gone gold and will ship to stores on November 12. World War II Online was released for the PC in the middle of 2001 and had a rocky launch with significant technical issues that the game's developer subsequently worked to iron out. The game lets players fight in online battles as an infantry soldier or in a range of WWII-era vehicles, including fighter planes and tanks.
"For the Mac players who have been waiting since last year for WWII Online, it's time to rock and roll," said Al "Rafter" Corey of Playnet. "Based on the incredible response to our beta program we know there are a lot of Mac guys waiting to try out the virtual battlefield, and we're ready for them."
