Jaleco Entertainment has announced that it will release World Championship Pool 2004 later this year. The game promises to be an authentic pool simulation, with licensed appearances of the world's highest-ranked pool competitors. The computer-controlled competitors will adopt the unique styles and shooting preferences of the real-world players. To help players improve their skills, there's a precise aiming aid, a shot strength meter, and a personal coaching mode.
"World Championship Pool has the realism and depth to meet the high standards of hard-core pool players while enabling casual players to hone their own skills, play the unique fun table games, and delve into the arena of world-class pool," said Jaleco producer Quincy Roach.
World Championship Pool 2004 will feature single-player and multiplayer modes and will be the first pool game with online play for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. All four versions of the game are scheduled for simultaneous release in November.
