Today, the nonprofit Women in Games International announced a new convention, Women in Games International-Dallas. As the title suggests, the expo will be held in Texas' largest city, and is set for April 22. Its keynote address will be given by Denise Fulton, head of Midway's studio in Austin. Her speech is titled "The Best Defense...Why Gender Doesn't Matter (As Much As You Might Think)" and will focus on women's accomplishments in the game industry. Other speakers include Sony Online Entertainment content designer Lisa Farina, Ensemble Studios game designer Karen McMullan, and Aspyr's vice president of operations, Lori Durham.
