Did you stop playing Destiny? What drove you away? Bungie wants to know, apparently. The studio is purportedly surveying lapsed players about why they haven't played lately and how likely they are to come back.
One person who says they received the survey, Reddit user unknownRNG, posted the questionnaire recently on Imgur (via GamesRadar). Some of the response options for "Why haven't you been playing Destiny lately?" include things like "I don't have any one to play with," "I've run out of things to do," and "I don't like PvP," among a handful of others.
Surveyed players are then asked to specify how likely they are to return to Destiny in the future with the options "Not at all likely," "Somewhat likely," and "Very likely." They can also leave comments for Bungie.
GameSpot has contacted Bungie and Activision in an attempt to get more details and confirm the authenticity of this survey. We'll update this post with anything we hear back.
Last week, Bungie announced a management shakeup that saw veteran studio employee Pete Parsons, the company's COO since 2002, take over for Harold Ryan as the developer's CEO.
"To the players of Destiny, I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie's, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together," Parsons said at the time. "I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio's best work. My new role here at the studio will be entirely focused on fulfilling that promise."
It was reported just recently that Destiny 2 would not be out this September, as a previously leaked contract indicated it would be. Bungie has been criticized for not sharing a clear outline for future Destiny content, and the final year of development on the base game was reportedly less than smooth.
By Activision's latest count, Destiny had reached 25 million registered players, though it is possible this number also factors in how players can create up to three characters on any one account. Activision will hold its next earnings briefing on February 11 where more information on the future of Destiny may be divulged.
