Xur's got a couple things you might want to grab to prepare for the next season coming to Destiny 2, including a rare Gridskipper pulse rifle that can tear up other players in PvP. Here's where you can find Xur this weekend and everything he's selling.

　　This week you can find Xur in the Tower, in the Hangar area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Monte Carlo. Hunters can pick up the Mechaneer's Tricksleeves gauntlets; Titans can grab the Antaeus Wards leg armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Phoenix Protocol chest armor. Xur's Hawkmoon carries the Snapshot Sights perk, while his Dead Man's Tale packs Fourth Time's the Charm.

Xur Location

Look for Xur in the Hangar section of the Tower.Spawn in using the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to find Xur this week. Head left and down the stairs to enter the Hangar section, then hang another left. Make your way to the north end of the area and look for a staircase that will take you onto a catwalk, where Xur is waiting.

　　Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher's Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.

　　

Xur Exotic and Legendary Items

Xur brings Monte Carlo for your approval this week, a particularly sick auto rifle for just about any occasion. The gun gets damage bonuses both from kills you score with it and from melee kills, making it a great choice for your melee-centric builds. If you're not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don't already own from the world drop pool. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it--so if you're trying to get a new Titan helmet, don't buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower's Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

That means it's worth visiting him each time to check out his new weapons and rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the Solar System.

　　Xur has a decent Hawkmoon this week, depending on how you like to play. It has extremely high Handling to go with its Snapshot Sights perk, but suffers in the Range department--but if quickdraw, quick-aiming gameplay is your thing, this is a roll that will work for you in PvP. For Dead Man's Tale, you've got Fourth Time's the Charm, which is decent but tends to be better for PvE scenarios, where you're going to land more shots. This DMT packs high Range but low Stability, making those precision hits a bit tougher to land, which makes this a so-so roll. The gun also recently got a significant nerf, so think twice before you spend your hard-earned glimmer.

　　Xur's Legendary weapons are also just okay this week. Grab Xur's Gridskipper pulse rifle, especially if you missed it in Season of the Splicer; it's a strong PvP roll with Heating Up, Snapshot Sights, and a Range Masterwork. The Truthteller grenade launcher is always a good get when it packs Blinding Grenades, and Grave Robber, Disruption Break, and a Handling Masterwork make it an effective PvE weapon--although, again, not quite the perfect roll. If you want a solid heavy grenade launcher, the Interference VI Xur sells includes Clown Cartridge, which is always great for heavy weapons in PvE, as well as Swashbuckler and a Velocity Masterwork. The Stars in Shadow pulse rifle is also worth grabbing, because its perks are shifting all over the place, so try to grab it with Quickdraw, Surplus, Elemental Capacitor, and Vorpal Weapon or Kill Clip, to go with its Stability Masterwork.

　　The Legendary armor department in Xur's inventory brings the Lost Pacific set from the vaulted location Titan--which you can't find in the world anymore, making this a great get for Destiny 2 fashionistas.

Monte Carlo (Auto Rifle)

Create a feedback loop of deadly bullets and deadlier punches with Monte Carlo.You can't stab anyone with it, but that big bayonet on the end of Monte Carlo does have a purpose--it's to encourage you to get up close and personal with your enemies. The auto rifle works best in tandem with melee attacks, whether charged or uncharted. When you deal damage with Monte Carlo, your melee cooldown is reduced, and there's a chance that kills with the gun will completely refill it. Meanwhile, Monte Carlo gets increased damage from kills with the gun and melee kills, and melee kills reload ammo into Monte Carlo. That makes this a great addition to your melee-centric builds, allowing you to become a powerhouse of punches and bullets.

　　

Mechaneer's Tricksleeves (Hunter)

Boost your sidearms with Mechaneer's Tricksleeves.Hunters have a few pieces of armor specifically designed to make their weapons work better. For sidearms, the Exotic is Mechaneer's Tricksleeves. It boosts your ready and reload speed with sidearms, while also massively increasing your airborne effectiveness stat with the weapons as well. When you're critically wounded, swapping to your sidearm boosts its damage, hopefully giving you the edge you need to win a fight you were in danger of losing. Unfortunately, this is a weak roll for the Exotic, but if you're a player trying to get the most out of your sidearms, consider this one.

Antaeus Wards (Titan)

Antaeus Wards let you send your enemies' bullets back at them whenever you slide.Some players really like jumping. If you're considering Antaeus Wards, it's because you'd rather stay low than go high. The Exotic boosts your slide distance and speed, and if you slide after sprinting for a short time, the Exotic reflects the bullets coming at you back at whoever fired them. If you're sliding all the time, Antaeus Wards will give you some protection--although like Mechaneer's Tricksleeves, this is a roll you're going to want to skip.

Phoenix Protocol (Warlock)

Phoenix Protocol helps you and your teammates get the most out of your Wells of Radiance, making this a must-have for PvE content.If you're a Warlock, Phoenix Protocol should be in your rotation. The Exotic makes it easier to get earn your Well of Radiance Super quickly after you use it. Whenever you're standing in your well, the kills and assists you make give you back Super energy, while generating a lot of Super orbs for your teammates. This is, again, a weird roll on the Exotic that you probably don't want if you already have a copy, but if not, add this to your collection for PvE content.
