If you use the internet, you probably use YouTube. And if you use YouTube, you might pay for the Premium subscription that gets rid of all the ads. That offering is now more expensive.
As spotted by 9to5Google, YouTube Premium now costs $14/month on PC and $19/month for mobile. The YouTube Premium Family plan continues to be priced at $23/month on PC and $30/month on mobile. Student plans are available for $8/month.
Additionally, Music Premium is going up in price from $10/month to $11/month. It's not immediately clear how existing subscribers to any of these services might be impacted.
Some of the perks of YouTube Premium include no ads and the ability to download videos to watch them offline. You can learn more and sign up at the YouTube Premium page on desktop or on your phone.
Price increases happen fairly regularly for subscription services. Just recently, Peacock announced its first-ever price hike, and before that, Game Pass saw its subscription fees increase.
