The free-to-play shooter Warface is getting a spin-off game--and it's launching today.
Warface: Breakout releases today for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it's a new competitive first-person online shooter that's inspired by Counter-Strike. Like Warface, Breakout is published by the international game company My.Games. It's developed by My.Games' internal studio, Allods Team.

Players earn "credits" by completing objectives, and they can be spent on new weapons and equipment at the onset of reach round. This is pretty much the exact same setup as Counter-Strike.
My.Games says Breakout has more than 30 "realistic" weapons, including assault rifles and SMGs, as well as shotguns, sniper rifles, and machine guns.
There will be five maps at launch: Storage, Facility, Oasis, and Sandstorm. More maps will come later through the game's post-launch support plan.
The studio also confirmed that Breakout will not have a battle pass, but players will be able to spend real money to purchase crates that contain cosmetic items.
For lots more on Breakout, check out GameSpot's preview video embedded above.
Warface was originally created by Crytek before My.Games took over publishing control of the series. The game is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
