In its weekly newsletter update, a development division manager at Sega-AM2, stated that he would like the team to start focusing its efforts on Virtua Fighter Quest for the Nintendo GameCube. Osaki added that he wants the game to be released before the end of the year since 2003 marks the 10th anniversary of the Virtua Fighter series. Unfortunately, no other details were revealed.
Virtua Fighter Quest was announced at Game Jam 2 back in March of last year. At the show, Virtua Fighter creator Yu Suzuki stated that the game would feature some sort of RPG elements and that all of the characters from the Virtua Fighter series would be involved.
