On Monday, Sega officially announced that the Naomi 2 arcade version of Virtua Fighter 4 will be available in Japanese arcades beginning August 1. The fourth installment of the series has been in beta testing for weeks now, in several arcades in the United States and Hong Kong. No announcements were made on the PlayStation 2 release date at this time. Virtua Fighter 4 is planned for an arcade release in North America this fall.
