With Sega Dreamcast headlines taking over the console news headlines over the past few weeks, this week lacked that singular focus and branched out to all the consoles. First, the oldest supported console, the Game Boy, is getting a new outlook on life with the addition of color. This week, GameSpot News found shots from some of the first Game Boy Color games. From the several titles in development by Nintendo, old-schoolers will probably be most enthused that Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will be making its way to the handheld platform. While the graphics still have their early NES feel, the classic gameplay should remain intact.

The only news about the Dreamcast this week was the announcement that Ubi Soft has a racing title in development partly based on its experience with the F1 Racing series. The game, Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation, looks pretty amazing. It's hard to tell how well the physics engine or the gameplay will be from the screenshots but the eye candy can definitely enter the dreams of gamers everywhere as the next wave of graphics technology makes its way to the TV screen.

Namco showed off some of its newest arcade titles and technology. Most interesting about the company's next breed of arcade titles is the addition of the small video cameras embedded in the arcade cabinet. This allows gamers to see their opponents' faces as they're rammed into walls or barraged with ammo.

Other hot stories this week include the beginnings of Pokemon videos, a new Bust a Move, Nintendo killing Space World and heading for TGS, and Midway to publish Psygnosis' Wipeout 64.
