Oct 19, 2024 5:25 AM

The start of Ubisoft Forward is just minutes away. Ubisoft Forward 2023 begins today, June 12, at 10 AM PT, and it's expected to have some heavy hitters on show. We'll not only get a better look at Assassin's Creed Mirage and perhaps the new Avatar game, but gameplay from the newly revealed open-world Star Wars Outlaws, which debuted during the Xbox Showcase. There's also the new Prince of Persia, The Lost Crown, which we'll likely get a better look at.

You can watch the Ubisoft Forward stream live in the embed below or on GameSpot's YouTube channel, or read on for more on start times and what to expect.

What to expect from Ubisoft Forward

Assassin's Creed MirageOne of Ubisoft's biggest games of 2023 is Assassin's Creed Mirage, which has a confirmed release date of October 12. Ubisoft will likely get its marketing machine started for this game, so expect some dedicated time for this back-to-basics Assassin's Creed game as it shifts into first gear. And as noted

After a dedicated livestream in April, it won't be too surprising to see more details on several of Ubisoft's upcoming Division games. Ubisoft has plenty to pick from with this IP, so there's a chance that more details on new Year-5 content for The Division 2, The Division Resurgence for mobile devices, and The Division: Heartland could be revealed.

One of Ubisoft's other best-selling games, Rainbow Six Siege, is also a regular on its livestreams, so there's a strong chance that the PvP shooter will be in the spotlight again. Similar live-service games like For Honor and Rider's Republic could also make a turn, as both titles have their own communities, and Far Cry has stuck to a strong biannual release schedule for core games in the series and spin-offs. If that tradition holds strong, then a first look at a new Far Cry spin-off for 2024 could be revealed here.

Ubisoft also has several other games in development, and it will show gameplay from its Star Wars game, Outlaws. There's also Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and XDefiant, and for gearheads, more details on The Crew: Motorfest recently leaked out. Another highly anticipated game that could be shown off is the Splinter Cell remake, and we already know that the virtual reality Assassin's Creed Nexus game will be shown off at the event.

Skull and Bones might make a brief appearance, as there's plenty of footage of the game that has already been released and Ubisoft has nothing to lose by reminding the world that it still exists. The big games that we probably won't see at Ubisoft Forward include the oft-delayed remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (although more likely, we'll see Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown), Assassin's Creed Hexe, Assassin's Creed Red, and Beyond Good and Evil 2, which has entered the vaporware vaults.
