Ubi Soft has extended its relationship with French publisher Dargaud by announcing that it will develop games based on Dargaud's XIII comic book series. Ubi Soft will develop an action-adventure game focused on the comic's main character and will release it for multiple platforms, including the Sony PlayStation 2. Very few specifics are known at this time, but the plot will revolve around the lead character's quest to rediscover his identity following a bout of amnesia.
"The game will include the same features that made XIII a cult series - suspense, plot, realism, complex developments, and a wide variety of characters - all against a backdrop of spying and political intrigue," stated Rob Cooper, Ubi Soft's managing director for the Northern Europe and Australian territories.
The XIII comics are written by Jean Van Hamme and designed by William Vance.
