Ubi Soft Shows Off Two N64 Titles
Ubi Soft Shows Off Two N64 Titles-October 2024
Oct 22, 2024 4:49 AM

TOKYO - Ubi Soft showed three titles at Tokyo Game Show. Two are the company's newest N64 games, Tonic Trouble and Buck Bumble for the N64, and the other is Tennis Arena for the PS and SS.

The two N64 titles were a bit of a surprise to us. Both games run fast enough and look great. Tonic Trouble is a strange character version of Mario 64. It looks great, but is still in the early stages of development. Actually, the game has proved to be so good that Nintendo itself wanted to release the title in Japan. But Ubi Soft, which is a little-known company here, wants to release it itself in order to build its reputation of a good developer/publisher.

On the contrary to what Ubi said before the show, it is not playable.

The company said that it was sorry, and that the game is expected to be released by the fall.

Its other N64 title is Buck Bumble, developed by UK developer Argonaut.

This one also can be categorized as a Mario 64 clone starring only a bee. It is set in a 3D world. You fly through the level as you wish and walk around on the land if you want.

Just like Tonic Trouble, Ubi Soft did not show a playable game. But Buck Bumble is expected to be released before Tonic Trouble comes out.
