Ubi Soft Picks Up Shadow Company, Flashpoint
Ubi Soft Picks Up Shadow Company, Flashpoint-January 2024
Jan 12, 2025 1:36 PM

Ubi Soft officially announced that it has signed an agreement with Interactive Magic to take over its PC CD-ROM division along with that division's long term agreements with Enlight Software (of Seven Kingdoms fame) and Sinistar Games.

The company also announced which games it will add to its offerings as well. That list includes 3D adventure/strategy game Shadow Company, strategy/simulation game Flashpoint, and the well-known fantasy strategy game Seven Kingdoms II.

Missing from the lineup are Interactive Magic's Mortyr and Malkari, which apparently were not picked up by Ubi Soft.

Already known for its worldwide distribution network with teams in 16 countries and distribution in 55 territories, Ubi Soft distributes its own series of products including Rayman, POD, and F1 Racing Simulation along with distribution for publishers like LucasArts, The 3DO Company, and the Discovery Channel. With the possibilities of global distribution, IMagic's war chest of games could spell big money for Ubi Soft's continued success.
