Once a second-party developer for Sony and now owned by GT Interactive, Singletrac has made such hits for the PlayStation as Jet Moto, WarHawk, Twisted Metal, and Twisted Metal 2: World Tour. Now the company has turned its attention to Critical Depth, an underwater action title with a decidedly twisted Twisted Metal feel.
Users can learn all about the making of the game through the VideoGameSpot exclusive Critical Depth Designer Diary, updated every two weeks by Captain Cutlass, one of its main characters. And now, as a special treat, we've updated the feature with two new diary entries.
In the first entry, our favorite pirate discusses the Pacific Rim undersea-city level, the claw-toting French Oceanographers' sub, a few gameplay tips, and a little bit about the developers responsible for the game. In the second, Captain Cutlass reveals secrets about the CIA, the Soviets, and the process of composing sound design for the game. Critical Depth is due out for the Sony PlayStation around the middle of next month. Be sure to also check out the VGS preview of the game.
