Earlier this week, GameSpot News reported that Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) had shipped two million PlayStation2 units in Japan. Today, SCE told GameSpot News that the company in fact has not yet reached its two million sales mark.
An SCE representative said, "As of the end of March, we have shipped 1.4 million PlayStation2 units in Japan, and we will be shipping 500,000 units every month. The next time we make an announcement, it should be just in time to reach that two million mark."
