Massachusetts-based Turbine Entertainment Software has announced that Jeff Anderson has joined the company as president and CEO. The addition is part of Turbine's strategy to accelerate its growth in the massively multiplayer online game industry. Turbine previously developed Asheron's Call, an online role-playing game published by Microsoft and released in late 1999. According to Anderson, Turbine is currently working on two massively multiplayer online games for different publishers, and it will be making announcements about those projects soon. The company is also nearing completion of Turbine Engine 2.0, the latest version of its proprietary game engine.
Anderson was previously the vice president in charge of production at Origin Systems, where he managed the Ultima Online series of role-playing games.
