GameSpot News on Friday learned that Yukes will be releasing a new version of the wrestling game Toukon Retsuden 4 for the arcades. The game was previously released for the NAOMI arcade board and then ported to the Sega Dreamcast console, and the new version is going to use a new arcade board called the CyberRead2. CyberRead2 is compatible with both the Dreamcast and PlayStation2 hardware, and the DC VMU and the PS memory card can be used on the machine as well. Two of each memory device can be plugged into the arcade machine, though no specifics were released as to how they will be used in the game.
It will be interesting to see if other game companies will take advantage of the CyberRead2 board, as it will allow them to possibly port the games over to both the Dreamcast and PlayStation2.
Toukon Retsuden 4 on the CyberRead2 arcade board is scheduled for a March release in Japan.
