Later this month, Tomy and D3 of America will be unleashing the spiky-haired ninja superstar Naruto Uzumaki on Nintendo's platforms with Clash of Ninja Revolution for the Wii and Path of the Ninja for the DS. Ushering in his arrival with style, Tomy and D3 announced today that they would be holding a launch event for the games at the Nintendo World Store in New York on October 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Leading the docket of activities planned for the event is a ramen-eating contest sanctioned by Major League Eating that features "some of the world's most renowned competitive eating athletes." Reportedly using chop sticks, the athletes will commence scoffing noodles at 11:30 a.m. Gorging aside, the event will also include Wii and DS stations set up with the latest Naruto games, as well Q&A sessions with the game's development teams, collectible-card game tournaments and play areas, and a raffle for a one-of-a kind engraved Wii and DS. The first 1,500 attendees spotted wearing Naruto's signature headband will also receive a special gift.
