The development team size for Titanfall 2 is roughly 30 percent larger than for the 2014 original, Respawn Entertainment has confirmed. HR and recruiting manager Kristin Christopher tells Develop that the first game was made by about 70 people, while the sequel has 90 people working on it right now.

　　While Titanfall 2 has been announced, it's not been properly revealed just yet. It's believed that it will have a single-player campaign and will be released as a multiplatform title. By comparison, the first game was a multiplayer-only affair that was released for Xbox consoles and PC, not PlayStation systems.

　　All of this is to say, a larger headcount for the sequel is to be expected.

　　The original Titanfall In addition to the Titanfall sequel, rumored to be launching this year, Respawn is working on an unannounced third-person game that falls within the action-adventure genre. God of War III director Stig Asmussen is leading development on this mysterious game.

　　Right now, this team is described by Christopher as "small." However, as production ramps up, Respawn will be looking to hire for "many more positions," with the total headcount possibly reaching 70-plus people, putting it on par with the first Titanfall.

　　Respawn is also looking at the mobile and free-to-play markets as possible growth opportunities for the studio, though no projects along these lines have been announced or even hinted at yet.
