Electronic Arts has announced that it will release Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2002, the latest installment in its popular Tiger Woods golf series, in February 2002. The new game features a new 3D engine and a new course lineup including Pebble Beach Golf Links, Poppy Hills, Spyglass Hill, TPC at Sawgrass, Princeville, and Royal Birkdale in England.

　　Players can play as or against a variety of PGA Tour pros, including Tiger Woods, Justin Leonard, Brad Faxon, Notah Begay, Vijay Singh, Jesper Parnevik, Colin Montgomerie, Lee Janzen, and Stewart Cink, as well as a number of different amateurs. In addition, the game features several new modes that give players quick competitive situations and side games. Some of the new game modes include TIGER, where players try to spell out the name by making putts; new skills competition; best ball; team matches; and PGA Tour season mode. The game uses a real-time swing system that gives players a realistic feel of a golf swing. It also includes options for two-click and three-click swings.
