When The Witcher 3, the latest role-playing game released by CD Projekt Red on PC and consoles, was revealed, it featured a different lighting system that one featured in the final release of the game. While it's impossible to restore it on consoles, a dedicated mod has been trying to do so with his Super Turbo Lighting Mod. The current The Witcher 3 modding tools come with plenty of limitations, but Essenthy has been doing his best to overcome them and restore the game's pre-release lighting system.
The next The Witcher 3 Super Turbo Lighting Mod update, update 2.3, has been in the works for some time, but Essenthy is sharing screenshots and videos quite often, showcasing the mod's current enhancements. Some new screens have been made available, and you can check them out right below.

The Witcher 3 Super Turbo Lighting Mod 2.3 update has yet to receive a full change log, but some of the changes have been detailed some time ago. All the upcoming changes have been possible thanks to a new setting that can make the game look more similar to the popular Sword of Destiny trailer. While change to the lighting system will affect most of the game's locations, the Toussaint region will not receive any major change, as the reworked system wouldn't fit the area's peculiar design, which is quite different from the main game's areas such as Velen and the Skellige Islands.
The Witcher 3 is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will let you know when the Super Turbo Lighting Mod new version becomes available as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
