The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set in a rich open world filled with both stunning beauty and violence, and thanks to a new patch out for PS4, the 2015 GameSpot Game of the Year will look even better on HDR-supported TVs. Developer CD Projekt Red has announced a new update is live now that includes full HDR support, among a few other tweaks and changes.

　　In addition to HDR support, which will result in better colors, textures, and overall look for PS4 players with compatible televisions, the patch includes other minor visual improvements for players on all PS4 consoles. CD Projekt Red also says the update includes tweaks to performance, stability improvements, and fixes for localization bugs.

　　Now Playing: GS News Update: The Witcher 3 PS4 Update Introduces Long-Awaited Visual Improvements

　　The patch isn't the only good news for Witcher fans: it was recently announced that The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia is coming to SoulCalibur VI as a playable character (and will even be on the game's front cover). While there's no release date yet for SoulCalibur VI, we know Geralt will be faithfully represented; CD Projekt Red has shared the original Witcher 3 assets for Geralt's character model, animations, and weaponswith Bandai Namco.

　　In other CD Projekt Red news, president and joint-CEO Adam Kiciński told a crowd at a financial event last month that Cyberpunk 2077, the studio's much-anticipated game, will follow in the footsteps of The Witcher 3 and will include "immense story-driven roleplay for a single-player without any micro-payments whatsoever, without any hidden things whatsoever, just as was the case for The Witcher 3."
