Wednesday at Cannes, AMD announced that seven major game publishers and developers had formally agreed to support its 3DNow! technology, incorporated into its K6-2, K6-3, and K7 CPUs. Here are the publishers and their titles that have been revealed so far:
3DO plans on using 3DNow! in its upcoming Requiem: Avenging Angel, Might and Magic VII, and High Heat Baseball 2000 and was the first company to offer support in Uprising 2: Lead and Destroy.
Accolade will use 3DNow! in Slave Zero and Redline and is currently using it with Test Drive 5.
Digital Anvil plans to use 3DNow! in its three upcoming announced games: Conquest Frontier Wars, Loose Cannon, and Starlancer.
Eidos Interactive will use 3DNow! with many of its current and upcoming titles, including Tomb Raider III, Daikatana, Thief, Braveheart, Anachronox, Dues Ex, Cutthroats, Urban Chaos, and Abomination.
GT Interactive announced that 3DNow! will be used in many of its upcoming games like Duke Nukem Forever, Trans-Am Racing, Aeon Flux, and Star Trek: Deep Space 9 as well as 3D Now support for current games like Unreal and Blood II: The Chosen.
Gremlin Interactive will use 3DNow! in Wild Metal Country, SoulBringer Hogs of War, Rally Champions, and Blade.
Interplay has announced plans to use 3DNow! in Messiah, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Descent: Freespace 2, Sports Baseball 2000, and Descent 3.
Rage Software plans to use 3DNow! in Midnight GT, Expendable, and Hostile Waters, as well as a few more unannounced titles.
