The first official Xbox One, at one time guarded by 20 sand tiger sharks in an aquarium, has been sold in New Zealand.
"Congrats to Dan Livingstone, the proud owner of the first #XboxOne in the world!," Microsoft wrote on Instagram with the photo at left.
New Zealand is the first of the Xbox One's 13 launch territories. Day One versions of the Xbox One sold in New Zealand include a free copy of FIFA 14.
The Xbox One goes on sale across the rest of the world later this evening, rolling out in regions like the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
As a result of a Target slip-up, as many as 150 Xbox One consoles were released weeks ago to those who had preordered.
