Due out this week in Japan, XI (pronounced: sái) is a puzzle game from the creators of Intelligent Qube, and if Intelligent Qube is any indication, XI should be an enticing puzzler.
In XI, the player clears ever-appearing dice by tossing dice displaying an identical number alongside them. Four game modes extend replayability: battle, puzzle, trial, and wars (in this mode, up to five players may battle it out).
THQ has picked up XI, developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., and renamed it "Devil Dice" (on account of its "devilishly addictive" gameplay) for domestic release this September. THQ has also replaced XI's intriguing cover art with something much uglier.
