Tenet Gets Early Access Screenings In The US Starting August 31-November 2024

Director Christopher Nolan's upcoming movie will reportedly be in select cities where theaters are open three days before its September 3 opening date, according to Deadline. Warner Bros. will be offering early access screenings on August 31, September 1, and September 2.

"Warner Bros. is proud to support our partners in exhibition as they reopen their doors," Warner Bros. president of domestic pictures distribution Jeff Goldstein said in a statement regarding the announcement. "And there could be no better film to welcome audiences back to a true big-screen experience than Tenet."

Despite anticipation for Nolan's movie still continuing at a fever pitch, little is known about the movie's plot. All that's known is it stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh--and that it apparently has something to do with secret operatives, time travel, and preventing World War III.

Even though these new, even earlier dates to potentially see Tenet are just over the horizon (some are on this month's calendar!), it may be too early to assume these screenings will take place--even if theaters near you are open. On Monday, for example, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said "movie theaters are not that high on the list of essentials" and ordered cinemas to remain closed indefinitely, leaving the film industry with no timetable for re-opening in a key market.

Tenet will release internationally on August 26.
