Telltale Games is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future by re-releasing its episodic adventure game series based on the movies.
Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition will feature improved textures to better take advantage of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One's hardware. Voice over work for Tom Wilson, who played Biff Tannen in the movie, will also be updated.
Along with the entire game series, the release will feature "exclusive content" including a behind the scenes videos, interviews with Bob Gale, co-writer of the movie trilogy, and members of the development team.
The 30th Anniversary Edition will be available digitally and physically in-stores on October 13 in North America. A European release will follow on October 16.
In April 2015, Telltale Games announced a partnership with Marvel for a new game due out in 2017. Details on what the studio is working on, however, have not yet been released.
Telltale previously said it was aiming to move beyond games with its new game/TV show hybrid project called "Super Show," though it's unclear if the new Marvel game will operate under this model.
This project is being worked on in collaboration with The Hunger Games and Orange is the New Black production company Lionsgate, which has a "significant investment" in the developer.
