Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada has revealed a new character for fighting game Tekken 7. During the franchise's recent 20th anniversary celebration in Japan, Harada revealed "Lucky Chloe," a cat-themed female fighter. As you can see in the announcement video above, she wears a cat costume.
The Tekken series is known for its quirky characters, so Lucky Chloe's outlandish design isn't much of a surprise. Not all versions of Tekken 7 may come with Chloe, however. Harada suggested on Twitter that she may only be featured in versions of the game released in Asia and Europe.
That said, Harada also pointed out that Western Tekken fans are also getting new characters. "I'll release another character for you guys. I said, we've more new characters," Harada explained.
"Example: Looks well-muscled, Skin-head, Very powerful attack (I don't like this idea but if you need)."
Tekken 7 was announced over the summer. The game, which is powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 4, will be released for Japanese arcades next year, though console plans have not yet been announced.
